Strokes Fore Strokes

 In 2021, while traveling across the country in my RV, I experienced a transient ischemic attack (TIA)—a sudden and unexpected detour that changed everything. What followed was six months of rehab and reflection. When I was released from my services I joined a stroke support group when I truly began to understand the depth of what others go through on their road to recovery. That experience gave me a new perspective and an even greater sense of gratitude for how far I’ve come.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have made a full recovery without lasting side effects. It’s given me not only a second chance, but also a deeper appreciation for life, health, and the opportunity to keep doing what I love—on and off the golf course.

Strokes Fore Strokes is a charity golf tournament created to support stroke survivors, caregivers, and help raise awareness about stroke recovery and prevention with the game of golf.

The mission behind this is to bring communities together, one swing at a time, by using golf as a platform to share stories, provide resources, and raise funds for those affected by stroke. Whether you're a survivor, a supporter, or simply someone who loves the game, this event is about connection, healing, and hope—both on and off the course.
